Patrick G. Lockhart

Pat has been successful by serving others for over 60 years, first by doing some Building and Retail at a young age. He was self-emancipated at 15 yrs of age. Tough childhood. He graduated from Portland State University in Economics and Finance, with a minor in Psychology, while married with child and owned 3 businesses, and a Sergeant in the National Guard (8 years).

Then in 1975 he moved into Redeveloping existing underperforming Commercial Real Estate, that came from Private property investment groups, and Portfolios from Major Bank Boards, Presidents and the Banks REOs (Real Estate Owned) departments.

Originally specializing in Hotels some he and his wife and Ski Partner owned and operated, 24 hotels. Rosemary, his Wife, and Partner was a highly respected commercial interior designer. They also had 19 Restaurants (10 of the restaurants were in the hotels) he sold the other 9 restaurants to the Employees that ran them, on all Terms, 2005–2010 and he was paid in full. All are still in business and performing well. This he is very proud of.

He personally went on to do a variety of more far-sighted real estate and business ventures for his Portfolio – Golf courses, various shopping centers and Office Buildings. Many of his employees went on, with his help, to set up and finance their own businesses. Pat figures that his businesses and entrepreneurial projects have provided well-paid jobs and career opportunities for helping many thousands of individuals including their families (they were all like family to them) in over a dozen states.

Pat’s companies, under Lockhart Investments, including Executive Properties, ExecuLodge Corporation, Key Property Management and Lockhart Realty Advisors, have done deals of over $8.8 Billion, with $700,000,000 of this being Bargain and Sale Charitable contributions (Donations of Real Estate) – some his, but most for his investors and their partners, to Governments, Universities, and a lot of Charities, some they started.

Pat has developed a World-Wide reputation, especially with Bank Boards that called him the “Fixer”, because of his outside-the-box thinking, and Ecosystem approach to the turnaround of distressed businesses and investment properties.

Like in 1991 completing and opening the unfinished 400-room Victory Hotel in Tianjin China at the request of the Nike Founder (they are based out of his hometown), which he did over 2 years while working for XI Jinping, who at the time he was incharge of CCCP Engineering Corp, who owned the hotel.

In 1995 Patrick received a Master’s in Hotel Management from Cornell University CHA. His firm has sold 445 hotels with his broker associates that worked for him. He has been 2 times National Broker of the Year, in NY from Portland Oregon? He was also an agent for the FDIC during the S&L Crisis. As Director of the Western US for hotels, they (his firms) sold 110 hotels in 13 months during that time.

Where investors only saw failed businesses and bad management. Pat has shown them how to take those underperforming properties and businesses through reimagining - repositioning - redeveloping and remanaging with the goal of increasing their revenues and net incomes, therefore raising their market values, while preserving good buildings rather than letting assets whither – all while creating more jobs and strengthening communities.

Pat and his wife along with his companies have always been very socially active, as well as in the Philanthropic World. He and his wife started a few charities that are thriving today. They are also involved in Political issues of both Parties, in behind the scenes support of local and national issues politically.

Hobbies

Golf, Skiing, International Fishing with Clients, Tennis. Pat is a 50-year General Aviation Pilot, type rated in 23 different types of planes including helicopters and float planes. He needed to fly to some of his different businesses that were located in 3rd tier markets. His flying is one of his most favorite things to do.

Pat is always looking for compatible people and organizations of high integrity to work with on his numerous and varied public service projects and business ventures whether as partners, clients, collaborators, investors – or simply as interested supporters.
